“The Somberlain” è il debut album degli svedesi Dissection, uscito il 3 dicembre del 1993 per l’etichetta No Fashion. La band dedicò l’album ad Euronymous, che era stato assassinato nell’agosto dello stesso anno.
Si tratta dell’unico album che vede la lineup originale. L’artwork venne realizzato da Kristian “Necrolord” Wåhlin.
