“Ultramega OK” è il debut studio album dei Soundgarden, uscito il 31 ottobre del 1988 per SST Records. Dopo gli EP “Screaming Life” (1987) e “Fopp” (1988), entrambi per Sub Pop Record, i Soundgarden firmano per SST ed iniziano a lavorare sul debut full-length.
Il risultato dell’album conteneva elementi Heavy Metal, Psychedelic Rock ed Hardcore Punk. La band supportò l’album con un tour negli Stati Uniti ed oltreoceano.
Nel 1990 l’album ottenne una nomination ai Grammy Haward per Best Metal Performance.
