In collaborazione con la Brothel of Sound Agency, Metal In Italy vi presenta in ESCLUSIVA il video dei The Dark Side of Venus, alternative rock band di Roma capitanata da Licia Missori e Fracesca Naccarelli.
La traccia in questione è “Everything Feels Fake” e come ben si intuisce, il messaggio veicolato risulta molto attuale.
Dice la band:
“La realtà dei social network coincide con quella della vita vera e propria? L’autostima si può misurare in “mi piace”? Noi siamo veramente i nostri selfie? Questo pezzo e questo video raccontano quel disagio che nasce in una persona quando si rende conto di non coincidere con il proprio personaggio”.
Il video, diretto da Marco Vallini, è stato proiettato in anteprima venerdì 3 novembre al Contestaccio di Roma, in occasione del live della band.

The Dark Side of Venus è un progetto rock/alternative fondato nel 2010 da Licia Missori, pianista e compositrice di formazione classica.
La voce della band è per molti anni Ida Elena De Razza; nel 2015 subentra al suo posto Francesca Elayne Naccarelli, già voce del progetto symphonic metal Dunwich. Il resto del gruppo è formato da Alessandro Lopane (chitarra), Yuri Colafigli (basso) e Daniele Saulle (batteria).
La musica che nasce dall’incontro tra i compagni di band ha una grande varietà di influenze che rispecchiano la vastità del loro mondo musicale di riferimento. Tra gli ascolti che influenzano maggiormente il loro sound ci sono band come Garbage e Muse e in generale la scena alternative rock degli anni 90, senza escludere il pop e le influenze della musica classica naturalmente presenti nello stile compositivo di Licia Missori.
Nel 2012 esce il singolo “Dirty Paradise”, prodotto da Massimiliano Pagliuso dei Novembre, e accompagnato dal videoclip firmato dalla regista Paola Rotasso. Il singolo vede la collaborazione di Daniele Santori, cantante della band symphonic metal The Dogma, con cui nel 2010 Licia Missori ha intrapreso un tour europeo in apertura ai finlandesi Lordi.
Con l’ingresso della nuova cantante, Francesca Elayne Naccarelli, nel 2015 la band comincia a lavorare al suo primo album ufficiale, “Power to Victims”, un corposo disco di 16 tracce che vedrà la luce nel dicembre del 2016.
