“Black Rose: A Rock Legend” è il nono album in studio dei Thin Lizzy, pubblicato il 13 aprile del 1979, definito come uno dei migliori e di maggior successo della band.
L’album raggiunse la seconda posizione nella classifica UK. È stata la prima volta che il chitarrista Gary Moore è rimasto nei Thin Lizzy abbastanza a lungo per registrare un album, dopo le brevi apparizioni del 1974 e 1977.
